CoHo Fees going up up up

On 1st May 2024

Fees for doing anything at companies house are skyrocketing. This is because they haven't changed charges for years, so now it's a lurch.

For instance, filing an Annual Return goes from £13 each time to £34 - 162% increase

Forming a new company from £12 to £50 a time - 317% increase.

Changing the name of your company was £8, going up to £20 - 150% increase.

Even getting shot of your company is going from £8 to £33 - 313% increase.

It's remarkable the Financial Press hasn't picked up on the size of these increases.

Of course we at Abell are upping all our fees by 162% (just joking).

Action Points

If you need a new limited company/LLP apply before 1st May

If you have a dormant company you want striking off then do it soon!

If you need to file an annual return in May/June, maybe file early on 30th April PS. Will coho webshite crash on 30th April? guess.....
